When we filled out the contract we had to list the obstacles that might arise while we were completing the the 23 things challenge. In the last week all the ones that I listed and some more have occurred. Both my boys came home for a week, that involved a lot of talking, cooking and washing! - It was great to see them. Every time I sat at the computer, either someone else wanted it, or I was required to assist with farm work etc.
Then there was the music practice for the competition last Friday night, we came second - beaten by two points.
Another subject got in the way, spent the weekend in Ballarat learning to assist customers to access information - good fun.
Last but not least I had to go to work, half the Library staff have got the flu and no doubt by next week the other half will have it.
Tomorrow I head off to music camp for a week with 25 kids and a few crazy adults to play music from 9 in the morning till 9 at night everyday. Its a long week but a lot of fun, we do two concerts on the final weekend and everyone learns heaps.
After that I am going to have to spend a lot of time catching up on all the home work.

ReplyDeleteA few of those obstacals have gotten in my way too since I last posted on the long weekend.
Work - well I do that 5 days a week (30 hours) any way but with the end of the financial year, the last 3 weeks have been frantic. So much to do and so many deadlines. For those that don't work in finance (lucky people!) the end of the financial year is not actually June 30 because you spend the next week chasing up invoices that need to be entered before the real close of the 2009/10 year.
Lucky for me that my girls have gone to their Grandparents for the school holidays because I have been heading off to work in the dark and getting home in the dark and I only live 10 minutes from my work!
I am really over it. I think that I need a holiday.
Although this other 3 out of 23 things is interesting and I need to know it, searching the internet for any thing seems to take me so much time. I can sit here for hours at a time and feel like I am getting no where. And don't get me started on the slowness of the internet when you have used all you speed for the month and the page keeps telling you "you are timed out" before you even get to it.
Sorry Helen, I didnt realise that I had so much to get off my chest in relation to your post. Obviously it struck a nerve!
Hopefully I can get RSS feeds out of the way this weekend and feel like I have actually achieved something.
